No. It is an illustrative scenario calculator. Transaction volume, prices, refunds, fees, platform terms, taxes, audience demand, and availability can all differ from the inputs, and no result is promised or guaranteed.
Does Cinema Marketplace currently process paid rentals or purchases?
No. Paid distribution is not active on Cinema Marketplace. The public catalog and editorial profiles do not create a paid listing, transaction agreement, revenue share, or payout obligation.
How are refunds handled?
The selected refund rate is applied to gross rental and purchase sales. The model then applies the platform share and percentage processing fee to sales after refunds, plus a fixed fee for each retained transaction.
What is included in creator payout?
The displayed creator payout is sales after modeled refunds minus the selected platform share and payment-processing fees. It is before taxes, withholding, currency conversion, marketing, legal expenses, distributor advances, chargebacks beyond the refund assumption, and other project costs.
Can this calculate licensing or commission revenue?
No. A license or commission can use a flat fee, royalty, minimum guarantee, milestone payment, or another negotiated structure. Model those separately and define every permitted deduction in the agreement.
What does transactions to recover cost mean?
It divides the optional production-cost target by the average modeled creator payout per retained transaction, assuming the same rental/purchase mix, prices, refund rate, and deductions continue. It is a mathematical comparison, not a prediction of sales.
