Does completing this checklist mean my film is legally cleared?

No. It is an organizational tool that helps surface missing records and questions. Clearance depends on the facts, agreements, intended uses, jurisdictions, and qualified advice relevant to the production.

Is a public photo or voice clip permission to generate with someone’s identity?

No. Public availability is not the same as consent to generate, clone, alter, commercialize, or distribute a person’s likeness or voice.

Do tool terms replace permission for my inputs?

No. A service may grant rights in outputs while still requiring you to have authority for uploaded images, voices, footage, music, scripts, or reference material.

Is festival permission the same as distribution permission?

Not necessarily. A festival submission or screening can have a narrow scope. Rentals, purchases, public streaming, advertising, sublicensing, and other uses may require separate authority.

Should I paste releases and contracts into this page?
