Correct the record
Request precise updates to names, roles, credits, film details, production notes, official links, and AI-use descriptions.
Creator identity and corrections
Give the editorial team a reliable way to confirm who you are, what you can represent, and exactly what should change—without surrendering ownership or granting distribution rights.
Start the guided request ↓What a successful claim does
Request precise updates to names, roles, credits, film details, production notes, official links, and AI-use descriptions.
Supply an approved biography, portfolio destinations, additional credited films, and contextual information for editorial review.
Report duplicate profiles, incorrect team grouping, impersonation, unwanted personal details, or a credible removal concern.
After verification, choose whether to explore Founding Filmmakers or future licensed distribution. Neither is automatic.
Verification standard
A matching name is not enough. Use the strongest official source available and explain where it shows your credit, authority, or contact relationship.
Strong primary proof
Useful supporting proof
Not sufficient by itself
Different requests, different review
Use a creator-controlled address or official channel. For a stage name, show the public connection without sending unnecessary identity documents.
Name the entity and your role. Explain whether you can represent the whole team or only your own credit and contributions.
Provide a public representation link, company address, or authorization from the creator or rights holder covering profile changes.
You do not need to claim control to report an error. Link the primary source and request the smallest accurate correction.
Consent and boundaries
You keep ownership of your films, artwork, names, trademarks, voices, likenesses, and other protected material. The request permits Cinema Marketplace to review the information you send and, if accepted, use the approved factual details and links on the relevant editorial profile.
A claim does not grant permission to download, rehost, sell, rent, license, train on, or commercially exploit a film. Paid distribution requires separate rights verification, commercial terms, and an agreement. Public embedding remains tied to the settings and terms of the official video source.
Send only the personal information needed to verify the request. Do not email government identification, passwords, model releases containing private addresses, or confidential contracts unless the editorial team specifically requests a safer verification step.
What happens next
We compare the sender, stated role, and official proof source.
We determine which credits, profile details, and films the requester can represent.
We verify factual changes against primary sources and may contact another credited party.
We update, decline, clarify, merge, separate, or remove content based on the documented request.
Cinema Marketplace may preserve neutral editorial context where appropriate. Credible consent, safety, impersonation, privacy, and rights concerns receive special attention.
Optional after verification
Founding Filmmakers is for creators who want an ongoing relationship with Cinema Marketplace and may be interested in future licensed rentals, purchases, submissions, and payout systems. It is separate from correcting or claiming a profile.
Claiming questions
An approved claim creates a verified editorial contact path for corrections and additions. It may let you supply a biography, complete credits, production context, official links, and additional work. Cinema Marketplace does not currently provide creator login accounts or direct self-publishing.
An email address published on an official website or channel, a reply from the address used by the credited production, an official profile linking the work to you, or a signed statement from the producer, studio, distributor, or rights holder.
Yes. Choose the correction-only role and provide a primary source supporting the exact change. We may verify the request with the creator or rights representative before editing sensitive credits or removing a profile.
Yes, when the requester can demonstrate authority to represent the named person or team for profile changes. The review may ask for confirmation from an official company or creator-controlled address.
No. A claim confirms an editorial contact and authority to request profile updates. It does not transfer copyright, grant an embed or distribution license, authorize rentals or sales, or create exclusivity.
Yes. Identify the exact profile or film, explain your authority, and provide a reliable source or contact path. We prioritize credible consent, safety, impersonation, and rights concerns while preserving an accurate editorial record.
No. Claiming keeps an existing profile accurate. Founding Filmmakers is an optional, separate path for creators who want to help shape future discovery and licensed marketplace systems.
Timing depends on the clarity of the proof and whether another credited party must be contacted. Complete requests from an official address are generally easier to verify; no response time or approval is guaranteed.
